Cyclospora Outbreak Update

The FDA and CDC are currently investigating a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora illnesses linked to shredded iceberg lettuce served at certain Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. At this time, the investigation indicates the affected product is shredded iceberg lettuce sourced from Mexico and served at select Taco Bell restaurants in those states.
We want to reassure our customers that Ingardia Bros. Produce does not supply Taco Bell and is not involved in this investigation.
Food safety remains our highest priority. We are closely monitoring updates from the FDA and CDC and will continue to keep our customers informed if any new information becomes available that impacts our supply chain.

Cantaloupe Recall: Ayco Farms Inc. Brand

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is reporting that Ayco Farms Inc., recalled 8,302 cartons of whole cantaloupes because the fruit may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The melons were sold in sold in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and California.

Manila Clam Recall

A recall has been issued for certain Manila clams harvested in the State of Washington due to potential safety concerns.

Ingardia Bros. Produce does NOT carry Manila clams from Washington State.
The Manila clams supplied by Ingardia Bros. Produce are sourced from:
Area 17–20 – West Nanos Bay, British Columbia, Canada
At this time:
• There are no recalls associated with this harvest area
• There are no restrictions affecting clams from this region
Our products remain safe and fully approved for distribution and consumption.

Italian Parsley recall: Pacific International Brand

Pacific International Marketing is recalling Italian Parsley because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Ingardia Bros Produce has not purchased or distributed any Pacific International Marketing Italian Parsley.

Blueberry Recall: Alma Pak International

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified a recent blueberry recall as the highest risk for potential listeria contamination.
On July 1, the FDA issued a Class I grade for a recall of 12,000 pounds of organic blueberries produced by Alma Pak International in Atlanta, Georgia. The recall was initiated on June 9 after routine testing of the facility found positive results of listeria.
