AVOCADOS: Mexico's new-crop Flor Loca harvest has begun, but production is light on larger-size fruit. The shortage of large counts continues to keep the market firm and is also supporting higher California avocado prices.
Potatoes: YUKON BAKERS: We have transitioned to new-crop Washington/California Yukon Bakers, which are available at a higher price due to the seasonal changeover. ALL RUSSETS: The russet market continues to strengthen, with prices increasing on both Washington and Idaho supplies. New-crop russets are still a few weeks away, keeping the market firm as old-crop inventories tighten. KENNEBEC POTATOES: Kennebec potatoes remain in very short supply, with limited quantities available. New-crop harvests from Texas began this week; however, demand continues to exceed supply.
