Asparagus prices continue to stary high due to a supply gap between growing regions in Mexico. Baja California is starting, but not enough production to full fill the demand. USA will fill the void, but prices maintain elevated.

All leafy items (romaine, romaine hearts, iceberg, and green leaf) continue to experience a supply gap.  Production is limited, and pricing continues to maintain high.

Broccolini is currently limited due to a temporary production gap in California. Recent weather has impacted growing conditions, leading to delays and uneven supply. As a result, availability is lower than usual, and prices are higher than normal.

Cauliflower and broccoli continue to be limited and higher in price due to reduced production out of California, which is not enough to meet current demand. This has also impacted floret pricing, keeping it elevated.

Limes 150-200ct- limited production out Mexico. New crop running small and large fruit limited. Price is up.

White corn pricing is currently high due to strong demand and limited supply, as yellow corn is still not available. This has increased pressure on the market. New yellow corn from California is expected to be available later this week.  Pricing will remain high until the California production is in full swing.

Cauliflower prices are currently elevated as the Arizona–California desert season has finished, and production transitions to the Salinas Valley. This seasonal gap has tightened supply, causing demand to exceed availability and driving prices high.

Round 2-layer tomatoes (4x4–5x6) remain limited in availability, with pricing continuing at elevated levels. Mexico is winding down, and there is currently no production out of California or Florida to offset the gap in supply.

Broccoli crowns are currently experiencing a supply gap due to recent rain in Salinas and Santa Maria. Production in Mexico and Yuma, Arizona has concluded, further tightening availability. Broccoli florets are up as well.
Cauliflower is currently limited, with pricing elevated. The Arizona-California desert season has concluded, and growers have transitioned production to the Salinas Valley. At this time, volume is not sufficient to meet demand. Cauliflower floret price is up too.
Green Bells-Supply is low due to recent weather issues in Florida and Mexico. We’re also between harvests and waiting for the Coachella crop to start. The demand exceeds the supply, which is driving prices up

Limes: Prices are currently high due to bad weather in Veracruz, Mexico, along with a seasonal gap between harvests that has reduced supply. The winter crop is  finishing up and the summer still isn't ready.

Cilantro: Currently experiencing quality issues due to recent severe weather in Mexico and USA, including swings between drought and heavy rain, which have impacted growing conditions and crop health. As weather stabilizes and new fields come online, quality and availability are expected to improve.

Italian parsley : Currently limited and higher in price due to recent weather impacts and reduced harvest volumes in key growing regions like Mexico and California.

Hawaiian papayas: Currently limited due to recent weather challenges in Hawaii, including heavy rains, high heat, and occasional dry spells, which have affected crop size and fruit quality. 

Watermelon- Supply is tight as southern Mexico finishes its season while northern regions are not expected to start until mid-April. Cool weather has slowed fruit growth, resulting in lighter volumes. Limited supply from Guatemala and Honduras has also increased demand for Mexican product. Mini watermelons are non-existent.

Limes- The lime supply continues to be tight due to a production gap between seasons as the winter crop ends and the larger summer harvest has not yet started. Severe weather, including drought followed by excessive heat and humidity in regions like Veracruz, has also reduced yields.

Cucumbers- The cucumber supply is currently tight and prices are high. Southern Mexico is finishing its harvest, while northern regions won’t start until mid-April. Cooler weather has slowed growth, and reduced supply from Guatemala and Honduras which has further limited availability.

Roma and round tomatoes (4x4-5x6) There is plenty of Roma and round 2-layer tomatoes available now, and prices have dropped significantly. Prices are expected to continue declining.

Tomato supplies continue to tighten after a late-January freeze in Florida damaged crops, with reduced volumes from Mexico  adding pressure.

Both yellow and white corn continue to be limited. Nothing available out Florida and heavily relying on Mexico to full fill the demand nationwide.

Supplies remain tight on green beans.  Limited production out of Mexico is making it difficult to fully meet demand.

Green Bell Peppers – Limited Supply / Market Increase
Supply remains tight due to limited production in Mexico, ongoing cold weather impacts in Florida, and no current availability from Canada. Markets are elevated and pricing has increased. Availability may be inconsistent week to week.

Roma Tomatoes – Limited Supply / Higher Price
Supply is tight due to reduced production in Mexico and cold weather impacts in Florida. Pricing is elevated, and availability may vary week to week.

• Yellow squash pricing remains elevated due to lighter harvest volumes in Florida and Mexico due to the cold weather. The demand exceeds the supply.
• Broccolini supplies continue to tighten due to weather disruptions in California and Arizona. Recent weather swings and field challenges have slowed production and reduced yields, limiting overall availability. The reduced supply is keeping the market price elevated.
• Portobello mushrooms are currently smaller than usual due to cooler temperatures in California. Quality is good, but larger caps are limited. Plan on slightly smaller mushrooms on orders for the weekend. Sizing expected to get better by next week.
