​Strawberry: prices remain high as Salinas/Watsonville production declines, and the Santa Maria/Oxnard fall crop is still not ready. Confirm with Cruz on this one

Russet Potatoes: Washington’s new crop is underway, but larger 40/50ct sizes remain limited, while the crop is yielding an abundance of smaller sizes.

Asparagus: High markets continue due to regional harvesting transitions, sizing challenges, and weather-related issues in key growing regions of Sonora and Baja California, as well as Peru.

Green Leaf, Iceberg, Romaine & Romaine Hearts: Markets are beginning to inch higher, though supplies remain adequate. Elevated summer temperatures in the Salinas Valley are contributing to some internal burn and increased insect pressure.

Green Cabbage: Markets remain tight, and prices elevated due to heavy insect pressure and seasonal weather challenges in California’s Central Coast. Strict field grading and increased crop losses are limiting packable supply.

Yellow Corn: California supplies remain limited, with major grower Diamond reportedly disking fields due to poor quality. Oregon product is available but has not been holding quality well (husk turns yellow easily), while strong Labor Day demand is adding further pressure to the market.
