• Lettuce:

Iceberg lettuce is experiencing an extreme supply shortage and is expected to remain that way for the coming weeks.  Quality issues, specifically Impatiens Necrotic Spot Virus (INSV),  Sclerotinia, and insect pressure caused by recent weather conditions, are reducing supplies.  Pricing will be volatile and high for the next few weeks or until better quality and sizing becomes available.

• Romaine/Hearts:

Both red and green leaf varieties are facing a supply shortage. This is primarily due to the recent iceberg lettuce shortage, which has led to increased demand for romaine lettuce. Quality issues have been impacted by a combination of soil-borne disease, INSV, mildew, and leaf damage caused by insect pressure. As a result, we expect tight supplies for the next couple of weeks. In contrast, green and red leaf lettuce supplies remain relatively light, but demand is strong. 

• Avocados:

Market has leveled out after last weeks sudden price increase.  The market may continue to adjust and price hikes may be expected due to current rain in the Michoacán area.

• Fennel/Anise:

Experiencing extreme shortages due to past and current weather conditions. Product is being harvested early and coming in small.  Pricing has been increasing.​

• Russets/Idahos:

Storage product available only, mixed sizing is expected. Pricing has been slowly increasing. 
Washington new crop begins in August. 

• Blueberries:  

Mexico is finishing up, blues are transitioning from California to the Pacific Northwest (Oregon).  We may experience gapping within the next weeks. 

• Cantaloupe/Melon:

Product availability has tightened. Product is gapping as down south Arizona-California desert season is winding down.  Growers will move to the San Juaquin Valley. 

Melon mixes are now available with the following combination: canary, santa claus, picaso, hami, honeydew, and golden honeydew.  These combinations may change weekly depending on availability.
