Pineapples are up on price. Costa Rica is in a production gap due to weather (tropical storms). Mexico is also being impacted by weather and suppliers are focusing on covering contracts first.

Asparagus continues to increase on price as well. Mexico is transitioning on growing regions; lack of water and hot temperatures are also affecting the production.

Colored bells continue to increase on price, more on the yellows. Mexico is done with their season; Canada isn’t producing enough to fill the void and central California is just starting their season.

Red Fresno’s are also up on price. The demand exceeds the supply out of Baja and Central California is having quality issues with their production.

Asparagus are tightening up as well.  USA production is winding down and Mexico is transitioning between growing regions. Baja is finishing up and Central Mexico is 2 weeks away from being in full production.

Broccoli crowns and cauliflower are up on price. There’s a gap between growing fields due to the cool temperatures in central California. Mexico is also struggling with their broccoli crown production and have started to pull from California. Not enough supply to meet the demand.

The season of navel oranges has come to an end, and we are transitioning to Valencia’s out of the USA. Blood oranges, tangerines and cara cara oranges out of California are winding down as well. Once those are finished, we’ll transition to offshore product out of Australia, New Zealand, & Chile by the end of this month and early July if all goes well.

We have fully transitioned to both green and red grapes out of Mexico. Keep in mind that it’s the beginning of their season and the fruit is on the smaller end.

Both iceberg lettuce and smaller sized lemons(140-200ct) continue to remain high on price. Not enough volume to full fill the demand.

Lastly, honey gems (Mann’s label) are extremely limited. They are also experiencing a gap in the growing fields and the demand overwhelms the supply. We have been substituting with Green gems (Church Bros label) lettuces to full fill our orders.
