Round 2-layer tomatoes (4x4–5x6) remain limited in availability, with pricing continuing at elevated levels. Mexico is winding down, and there is currently no production out of California or Florida to offset the gap in supply.
All leafy items (romaine, romaine hearts, iceberg, and green leaf) are currently experiencing a supply gap due to recent rain. Production is limited, and pricing has increased as a result. We expect availability to improve as field conditions recover. Broccoli crowns are currently experiencing a supply gap due to recent rain in Salinas and Santa Maria. Production in Mexico and Yuma, Arizona has concluded, further tightening availability. Broccoli florets are up as well. Cauliflower is currently limited, with pricing elevated. The Arizona-California desert season has concluded, and growers have transitioned production to the Salinas Valley. At this time, volume is not sufficient to meet demand. Cauliflower floret price is up too. Green Bells-Supply is low due to recent weather issues in Florida and Mexico. We’re also between harvests and waiting for the Coachella crop to start.
